Job summary

City of Canterbury Bankstown Council seeks four Library staff to join our team across Bankstown, Panania, Chester Hill libraries. These permanent full-time roles will deliver high-quality customer service and promote library resources in a diverse community.

You will contribute to programs, help implement team plans, and support daily operations while adapting to changing priorities to ensure excellent service.

Qualifications

• Eligibility for membership of Australian Library and Information Association (ALIA) or relevant industry experience.
• A valid Working with Children Check.
• Demonstrated commitment to delivering high quality customer service in a culturally diverse environment.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with customers, team members and external partners.
• Demonstrated ability to prioritise workloads and work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high quality customer focussed service and maintain a welcoming library environment.
• Assist and deliver library programs and promote library services and resources.
• Contribute to development and implementation of the team’s business plans.
• Support the team to meet daily operational requirements and maintain effective service delivery.
• Adapt to changing priorities and assist with a range of duties to support library operations.
