Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience or understanding of safe manual handling in libraries (training provided).
• Knowledge of the Dewey Decimal classification system is desirable (training provided).

Responsibilities

• Provide concierge services to Library users, including directional queries, orientation, and referrals to Library services.
• Provide ad hoc assistance or referral service within public collections spaces.
• Ensure timely access to well-maintained physical library collections.
• Contribute to shelving and retrieval of collection materials (returns and holds).
• Perform group or team collection maintenance projects as directed by Senior Officers.
• Collect and process items from pick lists and perform straightforward data entry.
