Job summary

Queensland Country Bank in Cairns is seeking an experienced Lending Specialist to join the Cairns City branch in the Far North. You will be energetic and driven to build our business through interactions with existing and new members within our branches and the local community.

Your day-to-day responsibilities include initiating quality conversations with members to determine goals and aspirations, providing exceptional service and structuring deals to meet needs, and conducting lending

Qualifications

• Strong banking knowledge with an understanding of financial analysis and credit standards.
• Mortgage & SME lending experience is required or highly desirable.
• Ability to identify opportunities and build strong relationships to grow the business.
• Proven track record of delivering exceptional customer service.
• Excellent interpersonal communication, negotiation, time management and conflict resolution.
• High attention to detail including compliance and data integrity.

Responsibilities

• Initiate quality conversations with members to determine goals and aspirations.
• Provide exceptional service and structure deals according to member needs and objectives.
• Undertake lending appointments and complete applications from start through to post settlement.
• Retain existing members by offering appropriate financial solutions that add value.
• Provide coaching to developing Lenders.
• Contact prospective members referred by direct channels.
• Develop a network of business referral partners to build the business organically.
• Support the region which includes Cairns, Atherton and Weipa.

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Lending Specialist to join our Cairns City branch in the Far North.

About the Role

As an experienced Lending Specialist, you will be energetic and driven to identify opportunities to build our business through interactions with existing and new members within our branches and within the local community.

• initiating quality conversations with members to determine their goals and aspirations


• providing exceptional service to members and structuring deals according to our member’s needs and objectives;


• undertaking lending appointments and completing applications from start through to post settlement


• retaining existing members by offering appropriate financial solutions that add value


• providing coaching to developing Lenders


• contacting prospective members referred by our direct channel


• developing a network of business referral partners to build the business organically


• supporting the region which includes branches in Cairns, Atherton and Weipa.

This is a fulltime salaried position, working a minimum 38 hours per week.

To be considered for this role, you must demonstrate:

• Strong banking knowledge with an understanding of financial analysis and credit standards
