Job summary

Tasman Cargo Airlines is seeking an experienced Learning & Development Officer to join the People team for a 12-month parental leave cover at Sydney Domestic Airport NSW. You will design and deliver training programs, manage the LMS and training records, and collaborate with managers to identify capability gaps while ensuring compliance with aviation training requirements.

You'll work across departments, coordinate internal and external training, and build capability through effective learning

Qualifications

• Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (TAE40122) or equivalent required.
• Tertiary qualification in HR/LD/Organisational Development or Communications (desirable).
• Experience administering Learning Management Systems (LMS); ELMO preferred.
• Proficiency with design tools including Canva, and Chameleon; Excel at least intermediate.
• Experience in aviation, transport, logistics or similar regulated industry with knowledge of Safety Management Systems (SMS) and CASA requirements.
• Strong stakeholder engagement, facilitation, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
• Must have full working rights in Australia; comply with airport security/vaccination requirements.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and deliver engaging training programs and resources.
• Coordinate internal and external training activities, including enrolments and logistics.
• Administer the LMS and maintain training records for compliance.
• Evaluate training effectiveness and report on outcomes for continuous improvement.
• Build organisational capability through learning solutions and strong stakeholder relationships.
• Support the organisation's Safety Management System (SMS) and related compliance activities.
