Job summary

PCA Ground Engineering, a specialist ground engineering and civil contractor, seeks a Project Manager/Senior Project Engineer to lead civil construction and ground engineering projects across NSW and QLD. You will own projects from tender handover to completion, coordinating estimates, site teams, and QA compliance.

Ideal candidates have a strong civil or ground engineering background, with the commercial discipline to run profitable projects and willingness to travel across jurisdictions.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in civil construction or ground engineering.
• Proven ability to manage programmes, budgets and subcontractors.
• Strong ability to interpret drawings and geotechnical docs; QA compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead project delivery from tender handover to practical completion.
• Maintain look-ahead programmes with resources (plant, personnel, materials).
• Manage procurement, purchase orders and subcontracts.
• Certify monthly progress claims and track budget.
• Coordinate plant allocation and liaise with Maintenance on servicing and permits.
• Review tender estimates and reflect deviations at close-out.
• Maintain ITPs, WMSs, hold points and NCR registers per QA.
• Identify project risks early and implement mitigation plans.
