Job summary

Wood is seeking a Lead Electrical Engineer to grow its Perth Mining & Mineral group to meet the demand in critical metals projects. You will own the electrical schedule, plan deliverables, and mentor a small team while liaising with design, clients and vendor representatives.

To be shortlisted, you will have 15+ years of experience in an engineering company, a Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, ETAP modelling knowledge, and Chartered Engineer status or working towards chartership.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in an engineering company.
• Bachelor’s Degree in electrical engineering.
• System Modelling knowledge in ETAP.
• Familiar with IEC/IEEE standards and NEC installation standards.
• Effective communication and proactive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Own electrical schedule and planning.
• Produce/review deliverables: models, drawings, calculations, specs, reports, evaluations.
• Assure tender & supply for electrical equipment.
• Review and approve others' work where required.
• Manage and mentor a small team.
• Collaborate with design team for model reviews.
• Liaise with disciplines, clients and vendor representatives.
