Job summary

Wave International in Perth seeks a Lead Electrical Engineer to drive electrical projects from concept to delivery, balancing hands-on design with project leadership. You will develop HV/LV systems for mining and industrial sites, produce SLDs and drawings, and mentor a team of engineers and drafters while coordinating with clients and contractors.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering with extensive mining or heavy industrial project experience, and thrive in a consulting

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and extensive mining/industrial project delivery experience.
• Experience designing HV/LV electrical systems and performing load flow and fault analyses.
• Experience in a consulting environment with project leadership responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver electrical engineering projects from concept to procurement.
• Design, develop and review HV and LV electrical systems for mining facilities.
• Produce and oversee SLDs, schematics and detailed design packages.
• Perform load flow studies, fault level analysis and cable sizing calculations.
• Prepare technical specifications and procurement documentation.
• Manage budgets, schedules, resources and deliverables.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, clients and contractors.
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring to engineers and drafters.
• Support on-site commissioning, testing and troubleshooting when required.
• Build strong client relationships through clear communication and delivery of high-quality solutions.
