The Technical and Engineering Network in Perth, WA is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead electrical design across mining and process projects, from concept through commissioning.

You will mentor junior engineers, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, and ensure safety, quality, and environmental requirements are met. The role offers hybrid work, competitive salary, and long-term career progression.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
• 5+ years' consultancy experience in engineering projects.
• Strong knowledge of electrical power systems, LV/MV distribution and motor control.
• Experience with PLC, instrumentation and control systems.
• Proven ability to deliver concept and detailed electrical designs.

An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to join a highly skilled engineering team supporting a range of projects across the mining and process industries.

This role will suit an experienced electrical engineer who enjoys working across the full project lifecycle, from concept and design through to commissioning, while providing technical leadership and mentoring to junior engineers.

About the Role

You will be responsible for a range of electrical engineering activities, including:

• Developing and contributing to project scopes of work.
• Performing detailed electrical load calculations, short-circuit analysis and protection coordination studies.
• Developing concept and detailed electrical designs.
• Providing technical input throughout all project phases, from concept through to commissioning.
• Integrating electrical, control and instrumentation systems with other engineering disciplines.
• Undertaking risk-based technical assurance activities.
• Participating in tender evaluations and technical clarifications.
• Working closely with drafting teams to develop engineering drawings.
• Reviewing manufacturer data, vendor documentation and technical submissions.
• Ensuring electrical systems comply with relevant safety, quality and environmental requirements.
• Conducting site inspections as required.
• Providing technical leadership and mentoring to less experienced engineers.
• Supporting the Principal Electrical Engineer and broader engineering team as required.

About You

To be successful in this position, you will have:

• 5+ years' experience within an engineering consultancy environment.
• A Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Strong knowledge of electrical power systems, LV/MV distribution and motor control systems.
• Experience with PLC, instrumentation and control systems and relevant power systems software.
• Proven experience delivering both concept and detailed electrical designs.
• Experience leading projects and mentoring small engineering teams.
• Sound knowledge of power system modelling.
