Job summary

Wave International in Perth seeks a Principal Electrical Engineer to lead electrical projects from concept through procurement, delivering HV and LV systems for mining and industrial facilities. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• Extensive experience delivering electrical projects in mining/mineral processing or heavy industry.
• Experience in an engineering consulting environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver electrical engineering projects from concept to procurement.
• Design, develop and review HV and LV electrical systems for mining and industrial facilities.
• Produce electrical design documentation: SLDs, schematics, termination drawings, detailed packages.
• Perform electrical calculations including load flow, fault level, cable sizing, earthing.
• Prepare specs, scopes of work and procurement docs for electrical equipment.
• Manage budgets, schedules, resources and project deliverables.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and clients; provide technical leadership and mentoring.
• Support site activities including commissioning, testing and inspections; maintain client relationships.
