Job description

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Project Engineer to join a leading mining organisation supporting a portfolio of sustaining capital and growth projects across their operations. This role will initially be Perth based transitioning to a 4/3 FIFO site roster from August.

In this role, you will provide end-to-end technical and project delivery support across electrical engineering works, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to required quality standards.

You will be involved across all phases of project delivery, from concept and scoping through to execution and commissioning, contributing to strong governance, cost control, and schedule performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide technical input and develop, review, and manage scopes of work
• Support delivery of electrical engineering projects from concept through to commissioning
• Coordinate project activities across engineering, procurement, construction, and site teams
• Manage and support project controls including risks, variations, TQs, RFIs, and action registers
• Monitor and report on cost, schedule, and quality performance
• Assist with preparation and administration of tender and contract documentation
• Support contractor management and site-based construction activities
• Contribute to capital cost estimates and commercial reporting requirements
• Ensure full compliance with safety, environmental, and operational standards
• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, consultants, and contractors

Skills & Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
• Proven experience in heavy industry or mining construction environments
• Strong background in project scoping, planning, scheduling, and delivery monitoring
• Experience preparing tender documentation and managing procurement processes
• Exposure to contractor management and site-based execution activities
• Desirable: Project Management training or certification
