Mercure Resort on the Gold Coast is seeking a reliable Kitchen/Dining a role to help in our restaurant and banquets team. You will wash equipment, maintain cleanliness, and support safe hygiene standards across busy kitchen environments.

Candidates should be flexible across shifts, with a professional attitude, and able to work both in teams and autonomously. This is a great entry into hospitality with Accor benefits and on-site parking.

Qualifications

• Willingness to work across a variety of shifts.
• Access to own transport is preferred; parking is provided.
• Professional attitude and strong work ethic.
• Ability to work in a team and autonomously.
• Experience in high-volume, fast-paced restaurants is advantageous.
• Physically fit and able to lift 10 kgs safely.

Responsibilities

• Be an integral part of our restaurant and banquets kitchen team.
• Wash kitchen equipment and crockery to a high standard.
• Use dishwashing machinery and cleaning chemicals safely.
• Maintain excellent cleanliness of the kitchens and food outlets.
• Ensure hygiene, health, and safety standards are met at all times.
• Assist with loading bay operations, deliveries, and waste disposal.

Job Description

What you’ll be doing:

• Be an integral part of our restaurant and banquets kitchen team
• Wash kitchen equipment and crockery to a high standard
• Use dishwashing machinery and cleaning chemicals safely
• Maintain excellent cleanliness of the kitchens and food outlets
• Ensure hygiene, health, and safety standards are met at all times
• Smooth operation of the loading bay, relocating deliveries & waste disposal bins

Qualifications

What you’ll bring to the role:

• Full availability & flexibility to work variety of shifts across the week
• Able to get to work at various hours (own transport is highly recommended, parking is provided)
• A professional attitude and strong work ethic
