Job summary

Novotel Sunshine Coast Resort & Sunshine Coast Convention Centre on the Sunshine Coast is seeking passionate Chefs for casual, part-time and full-time roles. You’ll work in a dynamic kitchen across our main facility, Sola Restaurant & Bar, and busy banqueting and events operations.

You’ll gain experience from à la carte dining to large-scale conferences, weddings and functions, with a $20 million refurbishment underway and access to Accor training and global opportunities.

Qualifications

• Culinary qualifications or prior commercial kitchen experience.
• Positive attitude, willingness to learn and teamwork.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver high-quality food across restaurant, banqueting and event services
• Work across a variety of menus and styles of service
• Support the delivery of conferences, weddings and large-scale events
• Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation and consistency
• Collaborate with the wider kitchen and Food & Beverage teams
• Follow food safety, HACCP and WHS standards
• Assist with preparation, stock rotation and maintaining an organised kitchen
• Contribute to a positive and supportive kitchen culture
