Melbourne Equipment Rentals is seeking a proactive Junior Hire Controller for a 6-month in-house trainee program in Victoria. You’ll learn the hire desk role from experienced staff, with on-the-job training that can lead to a permanent, full-time position on successful completion.

You’ll take hire bookings, plan deliveries, allocate machines, and manage contracts across site operations. The role suits someone who communicates well, stays organised, and is keen to build a career in equipment hire.

We\'re looking for a motivated person to join our hire desk as a Junior Hire Controller. You\'ll start on our 6-month in-house training program. You don't need any industry experience, because we\'ll teach you everything on the job. If you do well, the program can lead to a full-time permanent role.

Key responsibilities

Take hire bookings by phone and email, and give customers quotes

Plan deliveries and pickups with our transport and workshop teams

Allocate machines and keep track of what\'s on hire at each site

Enter and update hire contracts in our hire system

Handle off-hires, extensions and customer questions

Support the sales and admin team when needed

About you
