Job summary

ProTecq, a Melbourne-based IT implementation and consulting company, seeks an IT Support Engineer to implement, configure, maintain and support Microsoft 365, servers, networks, cloud services and backup solutions for client environments.

You will investigate issues, plan upgrades, develop automation scripts, and provide guidance to clients and internal staff to ensure reliable operation and security, with a focus on practical, cost‑effective solutions and long-term relationships.

Qualifications

• At least one year of full-time work experience in IT Support Engineer or Test Engineer.
• A relevant Bachelor's degree or higher is required.
• Strong stakeholder, client and vendor management and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Good understanding of IT infrastructure, cloud, networking and Microsoft 365.

Responsibilities

• Implement, configure, maintain and support Microsoft 365 environments and servers for clients.
• Investigate and resolve technical issues across client systems, networks and cloud services.
• Monitor availability and performance of client IT environments to minimize downtime.
• Plan upgrades, deployments and configuration changes per client requirements.
• Test and validate system functionality after deployments and changes.
• Develop scripts and workflows to automate tasks and improve service delivery.
