Job summary

Community Enterprise Queensland (CEQ) is seeking an IT Support Officer to deliver frontline IT support across the Torres Strait, Northern Peninsula of Australia, and mainland stores. You will work with a cross-cultural team from Cairns to Cape York Peninsula, ensuring CEQ's IT resilience and user-focused service delivery.

The role requires 3+ years in IT support, a current QLD driver's license, and IT qualifications.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' experience as an IT Support Officer.
• Current Queensland driver's license.
• Tertiary IT qualifications; ITIL and MS certifications desirable.
• Experience in a large, complex business desirable.

Responsibilities

• Respond to and resolve Level 1 IT support requests via phone, email, and ticketing system.
• Log incidents and service requests accurately.
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals.
• Assist with basic software installation and updates
• Troubleshoot basic connectivity issues (Wi-Fi, LAN, VPN).
• Provide guidance and training to users on common IT issues.
• Escalate complex problems to Level 2/3 support or vendors.
• Maintain accurate records of IT equipment and software licenses.
• Update knowledge base articles and user guides.
• Monitor WHS to ensure employee safety and a safe workplace.
• Travel to Torres Strait and other outlets to maintain CEQ IT systems.
• A willingness to work in a cross-cultural environment.
• Experience in supporting Microsoft desktop and server operating environments and other corporate business applications.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills providing a strong focus on customer service.
• Ability to work with minimum supervision, exercise efficient time management and demonstrated ability in utilising initiative and problem solving.
• Be willing to work flexible work hours, including afterhours project work.
