As an IT Support Engineer – L1/L2 at Swift Computers based in Sydney, NSW (supporting Adelaide), you will take full ownership of resolving end-user technical support tickets, configuring workstations, and maintaining IT infrastructure health. Your day-to-day responsibilities encompass troubleshooting Windows and Microsoft 365 platforms, diagnosing hardware and peripheral failures, administering user accounts, and providing both remote and onsite technical support. You will handle basic networking diagnostics, resolve connectivity issues, and maintain accurate ticketing logs in accordance with service level agreements. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive L1 and L2 technical support, troubleshooting, and issue resolution for enterprise end-users.
- Administer, configure, and maintain Windows operating systems and Microsoft 365 cloud productivity suites.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, firmware, and peripheral faults for desktops, laptops, and mobile devices.
- Perform robust desktop and laptop hardware/software provisioning, imaging, patching, and maintenance.
- Troubleshoot foundational networking components including local area networks (LAN), Wi-Fi connectivity, DNS, DHCP, and VPN access.
- Deliver seamless remote and onsite technical support, ensuring rapid incident restoration and minimal downtime.
- Log, track, and manage support tickets in enterprise ticketing systems, maintaining high customer satisfaction ratings.
- Collaborate closely with system administrators, IT managers, and cross-functional technology support squads.
- Maintain comprehensive IT asset inventories, user documentation, and troubleshooting knowledge base articles.
- Ensure adherence to corporate IT security policies, endpoint protection baselines, and data backup procedures.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 2+ years of professional experience in L1/L2 technical support, IT helpdesk administration, or desktop engineering.
- Deep technical mastery of Windows operating systems and Microsoft 365 administrative workflows.
- Proven practical experience in hardware and software troubleshooting, diagnostics, and component replacement.
- Solid working knowledge of desktop/laptop support, user onboarding, and peripheral management.
