J.C. Gilmore in Port Melbourne is seeking an Internal Sales / Customer Service Officer to join our friendly team. You will help customers, process orders, and support sales and operations in a busy, customer‑focused environment.

Day‑to‑day duties include handling orders and inquiries by phone and email, maintaining customer accounts, preparing quotations, and assisting with warehouse coordination. A proactive, detail‑oriented communicator will fit right in.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in an Internal Sales, Customer Service, or Sales Support role.
• Strong customer service skills with a genuine desire to help customers.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• High attention to detail and accurate data entry skills.
• Strong organisational and time management abilities.
• Ability to build positive relationships with customers and colleagues.
• A proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Current driver's licence (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Process customer sales orders, purchase orders, and associated documentation.
• Serve as the first point of contact for customer enquiries via phone and email.
• Manage and maintain customer accounts and records.

• Work closely with the Operations and Sales Managers to identify and implement process improvements.
