I Place People Pty Ltd is seeking an Internal Sales Consultant to join their Caringbah team in Sydney. You will help customers find the right solutions, handle inquiries, prepare quotations and support the external sales team.

The role focuses on relationship building, strong communication and a proactive, customer‑focussed approach in a technical environment. Training will be provided to grow product knowledge and sales capabilities.

Our client is a global leader in industrial measurement and instrumentation solutions, supplying customers across water, mining, manufacturing, infrastructure and process industries. They are seeking an enthusiastic Internal Sales Consultant to join their friendly and supportive team in Caringbah.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in internal sales, customer service, account management or sales support who enjoys working in a technical environment. Full product training will be provided, so a strong attitude and willingness to learn are more important than previous instrumentation experience.

Internal Sales Consultant

Key Responsibilities

Customer Service & Relationship Management

• Respond to customer enquiries via phone and email
• Build strong relationships with new and existing customers
• Provide advice on products and solutions based on customer requirements
• Deliver a high level of service throughout the customer journey
• Assist customers with pricing, product availability and order updates

Sales & Business Support

• Prepare and follow up quotations
• Identify opportunities to upsell and cross-sell products
• Support the external sales team with customer information and sales activity
• Maintain regular customer contact to maximise sales opportunities
• Help drive customer retention and growth across existing accounts

Sales Administration & Coordination

• Process customer orders accurately and efficiently
• Maintain CRM and customer records
• Coordinate with warehouse and logistics teams regarding deliveries
• Prepare customer documentation and sales reports
• Ensure all enquiries and quotations are managed promptly

As the first point of contact for customers, you'll play an important role in supporting sales growth and delivering exceptional customer service. You'll manage enquiries, prepare quotations, follow up opportunities and build strong relationships with customers while working closely with the external sales team.

About You

• Previous experience in internal sales, customer service, sales support or account management
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• A proactive and customer-focused approach
• Confidence speaking with customers over the phone and via email
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
• Good computer skills, including CRM systems and Microsoft Office
• The ability to learn technical products and solutions
• A positive attitude and desire to be part of a collaborative team

Highly Regarded

• Experience working with industrial, technical or trade-related products
• Experience preparing quotations or processing orders
• Exposure to manufacturing, construction, engineering, industrial supply, trade wholesale or distribution environments
