Job summary

Gallagher is seeking an Internal Account Executive in Melbourne to support and service a portfolio of large Commercial and Corporate insurance clients within the Melbourne Mid-Market Division. You will work closely with the Principal Broker to grow client retention and service excellence.

You will develop technical insurance knowledge, build client and insurer relationships, and contribute to cross-selling opportunities while delivering outstanding service standards.

Qualifications

• Experience within insurance, financial services or a client facing environment.
• Strong communication and relationship building skills.
• Excellent organisational and time management capabilities.
• Attention to detail and commitment to service excellence.
• A proactive approach and willingness to learn.
• Tier 1 Insurance qualification (or willingness to obtain).
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
• Desire to build a long‑term career in insurance and risk management.

Responsibilities

• Manage and support an existing portfolio of commercial/ corporate insurance clients
• Assist with policy renewals, endorsements and general account administration
• Build strong relationships with clients, insurers and internal stakeholders
• Identify cross-selling and growth opportunities within the portfolio
• Prepare quotations, policy documentation and client communications
• Support credit management and maintain accurate client records
• Ensure compliance with legislative and regulatory requirements
• Deliver exceptional client service at every interaction
