SICK Sensor Intelligence in Melbourne is seeking an Inside Sales Specialist to be the first point of contact for customers across Australia. You’ll help them choose the right products and turn technical problems into solutions, with no travel and strong product training in a supportive team.

Based at the Heidelberg West office, you’ll report to the Inside Sales Manager and collaborate with External Sales and Technical teams.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering (or a relevant trade qualification).
• Genuine interest in a commercial, customer-interacting career.
• Confidence on the phone and enjoyment talking with people.
• Curiosity about how things work and willingness to learn our technology.

Responsibilities

• Make outbound calls, run targeted campaigns and follow up on quotes to win new business
• Manage your own customer pool using structured call cycles
• Help customers select the right sensor or solution for their application (which is where your engineering background pays off)
• Work with External Sales to find opportunities and grow key accounts
• Support the sales team with quoting, product selection and account setup
• Record customer interactions in our CRM
