Job summary

St Anthony of Padua Catholic College Austral NSW is seeking an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Liaison Officer to support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students, families and staff, fostering belonging, identity and educational success. The role works with teachers and leaders to develop personalised learning plans and strengthen cultural perspectives across learning activities.

The position is part-time (36 hours per fortnight) and permanent, with WWCC clearance required.

Qualifications

• Identifying as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander.
• Strong cultural knowledge and community connections.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Work with students, families, teachers and leaders to support belonging and educational goals.
• Develop and maintain Personalised Learning Plans and monitor attendance and wellbeing.
• Mentor and provide individual support; strengthen Indigenous perspectives in teaching and learning.
• Coordinate cultural programs and events (NAIDOC Week, Reconciliation Week) and engage local communities.
