Qualifications

• Demonstrate an appropriate level of literacy and numeracy to assist students.
• Ability to work as part of a team to cater for Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander students.
• Strong connection with local Aboriginal community and culture.

Responsibilities

• Act as intermediary and contact person for Aboriginal students and families within the school and system.
• Support teaching staff to meet outcomes in alignment with the Aboriginal Education Strategy.
• Assist the Principal and School Executive by supporting Aboriginal families with pastoral care issues.
• Provide encouragement and emotional support for Aboriginal students.
