Job summary

St Anthony of Padua Catholic College Austral, part of Sydney Catholic Schools, seeks an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Liaison Officer to support Indigenous students and families. The role focuses on belonging, identity, and educational achievement, with strong community partnerships and school-wide cultural initiatives.

The successful candidate will engage with students, families and staff, coordinate cultural programs, and contribute to a welcoming, inclusive Catholic learning

Qualifications

• Identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander.
• Strong cultural knowledge and community connections.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willing to work with children and young people.
• WWCC clearance required prior to commencement.

Responsibilities

• Build strong relationships with students and families.
• Develop and review Personalised Learning Plans.
• Support student learning, attendance, engagement and wellbeing.
• Provide mentoring and individual support for students.
• Coordinate NAIDOC Week and National Reconciliation Week activities.
