Job summary

St Therese's Primary School, New Lambton, NSW, is seeking a permanent part-time Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Education Teacher (0.4FTE) starting January 2027. The role focuses on curriculum, culture, spirituality, wellbeing and literacy/numeracy support for Indigenous students within a Catholic school community.

The teacher will develop PLPs, liaise with classroom and wellbeing teams, and promote evidence-based pedagogies while aligning to NSW accreditation standards.

Qualifications

• Must be a four-year trained teacher with current accreditation.
• Demonstrated commitment to Catholic Education and school ethos.
• Active involvement in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander education.

Responsibilities

• Lead formation and implementation of PLPs for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students.
• Develop curriculum, culture, spirituality, learning and wellbeing programs.
• Collaborate with staff and community to support educational outcomes.
• Promote the school's Catholic identity and participate in Reconciliation Action Plan.
• Adhere to Australian Professional Standards for Teachers.
