Job summary

St Paul's Catholic College in Booragul, NSW seeks a permanent part-time Learning Support Teacher (0.3FTE) to join the team from January 2027. The role focuses on academic and spiritual growth for students with diverse needs within a Catholic educational setting.

The successful candidate will work collaboratively with teachers, CSO staff and families to implement personalised plans, differentiate curriculum and support transitions, under NSW WWCC requirements and the Catholic Schools Enterprise

Qualifications

• Ability to articulate a clear understanding of Catholic education and the mission of the Church
• Experience working with students with disability (7-12)
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with staff, CSO staff and external stakeholders
• Experience in delivering professional learning for staff and parents
• Ability to use assessment data to determine adjustments for students
• Ability to prepare Personalised Plans and Learner Profiles

Responsibilities

• Identify students with special educational needs and coordinate with parents and CSO staff
• Deliver intervention and assist teachers with curriculum differentiation
• Collaborate to design, implement and monitor adjustments documented in PP or LP
• Work with other Learning Support personnel
• Contribute to staff development and parent education programs
• Assist with transitions and documentation for NCCD requirements
• Support development of inclusive learning environments
• Assist in implementation of programs for students with disability
• Build capacity of school staff in Special Education
