Job summary

Nillumbik Shire Council in Greensborough, VIC seeks a Coordinator Social Inclusion, Equity and Wellbeing to lead a multidisciplinary team and shape inclusive community outcomes. This permanent full-time role focuses on strategy, policy, and partnerships with government agencies and community groups.

The successful candidate will drive social inclusion, wellbeing, accessibility and equity initiatives, informs planning, and supports evidence-based decision making across Council services.

Qualifications

• Experience leading policy, program and project development, delivery and evaluation within community wellbeing and related fields.
• Proven leadership of teams and complex projects with strategic impact.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and partnerships across diverse community groups and agencies.
• Commitment to inclusive practices to improve access, participation and outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Lead multidisciplinary team to deliver strategic social inclusion, equity and wellbeing outcomes aligned with Council priorities.
• Lead development, implementation, monitoring and review of Council's key strategic plans and frameworks.
• Provide strategic advice and organisational leadership on inclusion, accessibility, equity, child safety, wellbeing and universal design.
• Lead community research, engagement and social planning activities to identify emerging needs and inform policy, service planning and investment decisions.
• Build and maintain partnerships with Councillors, Executive Leadership Team, government agencies and community organisations.
• Monitor emerging trends, legislation and policy reforms, providing strategic guidance on risks, opportunities and funding initiatives.
