Job summary

Nillumbik Shire Council in Greensborough, VIC seeks a Coordinator Community Safety and Resilience to lead emergency management, community safety, and resilience initiatives. You will provide strategic guidance to the Manager Community Safety and Amenity, executive leadership, and Council, ensuring readiness for emergencies and regulatory compliance.

This permanent full-time role manages Community Safety, Animal Management, Local Laws, Parking, Graffiti, and Resilience functions, reporting to the

Qualifications

Demonstrated ability to provide strategic leadership across multiple service areas.
Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and driving organisational capability.

Responsibilities

Provide strategic and operational leadership for Community Safety and Resilience services across the municipality.
Lead development and implementation of service strategies, policies, plans and initiatives.
Drive council-wide resilience and emergency preparedness initiatives.
Oversee risks across Community Safety and Resilience services.
Ensure emergency management capability, readiness, relief and recovery arrangements.
Undertake statutory duties of the MEMO.
Lead Community Safety, Animal Management, Local Laws, and related functions.
