Job summary

Southern Grampians Shire Council in Hamilton, VIC is seeking a Community Wellbeing Coordinator to lead the Community Wellbeing team and strengthen health outcomes for the municipality.

You will develop services, govern operations and build workforce capability, with a focus on place-based, evidence-informed strategies and partnerships across government and community sectors to improve wellbeing across all ages.

Qualifications

• Relevant tertiary qualification and/or substantial experience in public health or community wellbeing.
• Demonstrated leadership in community health, wellbeing, inclusion or social planning.
• Experience in local government or complex public-sector environments is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the Municipal Public Health and Wellbeing Plan.
• Lead inclusive community development initiatives that strengthen participation and resilience.
• Build strategic partnerships across government, health, education and community sectors.
• Monitor governance, risk, quality, and workforce capacity across maternal and child health services.
• Develop direct reports through planning, supervision and performance reviews.
• Maintain planning, reporting, risk, records and continuous-improvement systems.
