Job summary

Nillumbik Shire Council is seeking a Coordinator Social Inclusion, Equity and Wellbeing to provide strategic advice and lead a multidisciplinary team. Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience leading policy, program and project development, delivery and evaluation within community wellbeing.
• Experience working across social inclusion, youth, disability, social planning or related fields.
• Proven leadership in coordinating teams and driving strategic initiatives.
• Strong stakeholder engagement with diverse community groups.
• Understanding of equity, accessibility and inclusive practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead a multidisciplinary team to deliver social inclusion, equity and wellbeing outcomes.
• Develop and monitor strategic plans such as the Municipal Public Health and Wellbeing Plan and Reconciliation Action Plan.
• Provide strategic advice on inclusion, accessibility, child safety and universal design.
• Lead community research, engagement and social planning to identify needs.
• Build partnerships with Councillors, government agencies and community organisations.
• Monitor policy reforms and funding opportunities to support advocacy.
