Government schools is seeking a classroom teacher who will plan, prepare and deliver programs to achieve specific student outcomes. The role emphasizes planning for high‑quality literacy and numeracy instruction, using data to inform practice and providing feedback to students and parents.

The successful candidate will collaborate with colleagues, engage in professional learning and contribute to school policies and priorities through mentoring and student data analysis to improve outcomes.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of the relevant curriculum and ability to teach literacy and numeracy skills.
• Experience planning and implementing high-impact teaching strategies and evaluating their impact.
• Experience monitoring and assessing student learning and using data to inform teaching.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for collaboration with students, parents and staff.
• Commitment to Department values and ongoing professional learning.

Responsabilités

• Direct teaching of groups and individuals to achieve learning outcomes.
• Contribute to curriculum development, implementation and evaluation within the school.
• Perform non-teaching duties as required by the principal aligned with the role.
• Engage with parent/teacher meetings and school activities to support student learning.
• Mentor and supervise trainee teachers and use data to inform instruction.
