Job summary

Cardijn College is seeking a proactive ICT Support Officer to join our ICT team. You will troubleshoot issues, maintain ICT systems, and support software/hardware deployments across campuses, enabling teaching and learning.

The role involves high autonomy, strong customer service, and a commitment to safeguarding students. Previous ICT support experience and a Certificate IV in IT are required, with WWCC/RRHAN-EC or willingness to obtain.

• Certificate IV in Information Technology (or equivalent) and/or ICT support experience.
• Current WWCC or ability to obtain WWCC.
• RRHAN-EC certification or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Provide timely ICT support for hardware, software and network-related issues.
• Respond to helpdesk requests and communicate effectively with users.
• Install, configure and maintain ICT equipment and applications.
• Assist with network monitoring and routine troubleshooting.
• Support staff and students in effective use of technology.
• Maintain accurate records and ICT documentation.
• Contribute to ICT procedures and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Occasional out-of-hours maintenance and support activities.

About the Role

Reporting to the Director of ICT Services, the ICT Support Officer provides responsive and professional ICT support to staff and students across the College. Working with a high degree of autonomy, you will troubleshoot technical issues, maintain ICT systems and equipment, support software and hardware deployments, and contribute to the ongoing development of ICT services across our campuses.

Key responsibilities include:

• Providing timely ICT support for hardware, software and network-related issues.
• Responding to helpdesk requests and communicating effectively with users.
• Installing, configuring and maintaining ICT equipment and applications.
• Assisting with network monitoring and troubleshooting routine operational issues.
• Supporting staff and students in the effective use of technology.
• Maintaining accurate electronic records and documentation.
• Contributing to ICT operational procedures and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Undertaking maintenance and critical support activities, including occasional out-of-hours work when required.

Essential Requirements

• Certificate IV in Information Technology (or equivalent) and/or demonstrated experience in a comparable ICT support role.
• Current Working With Children Check (WWCC), or the ability to obtain one.
• Current Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect (RRHAN-EC) certification, or willingness to obtain.
