Job summary

Cox Purtell is seeking an ICT leader to take charge of an established team for a six-month contract in Sydney. The role focuses on keeping day-to-day ICT services running, coaching staff, and ensuring service assurance and security across the organisation.

You will oversee end-user computing support, implement cyber security practices, and provide practical guidance without full budget sign-off authority. This is an immediate-impact opportunity in a reputable NSW cultural institution.

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing day-to-day ICT service delivery including service assurance and support.
• Direct coaching and performance conversations with staff.
• Five+ years in end-user computing environments: implementation, transformation and support.
• Working knowledge of cyber security best practices.
• Public sector, NSW government or cultural institution experience highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day functional delivery of ICT services, including service assurance, performance and availability.
• Lead and support the existing ICT team, including direct coaching and performance conversations with staff.
• Oversee end-user computing support and maintenance across the organisation.
• Apply cyber security best practice across day-to-day ICT operations.
• Review and recommend on matters that would normally require sign-off, escalating decisions to the appropriate approval authority.
