Job summary

Gofractional in Adelaide, SA, is seeking an experienced ICT Operations Manager to lead day-to-day operations of critical services on-site for a 12-month contract. You will coordinate seamless service delivery, manage incidents, and drive improvements across a large, complex environment with senior leadership involvement.

The role requires senior-level experience in ICT operations, strong stakeholder engagement, and solid knowledge of security policies and incident handling.

Responsibilities

What You'll Do

• Lead the day-to-day operational management of critical ICT services and components.

• Coordinate remedial activities and drive timely issue resolution.
• Provide advice on service availability, operational planning, service improvement and performance.
• Act as a central coordination point between technical teams, management and senior leadership.

• Ensure leadership teams have the information and resources required to support ongoing operations and change.
• Lead and coordinate investigations into operational and security incidents.
• Engage with a broad range of stakeholders and communicate complex technical matters clearly.
• Develop and present recommendations, gaining stakeholder agreement on proposed outcomes.
• Support the maintenance of security requirements, operational processes and documentation.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement across operational services and processes.

What You'll Bring

• Demonstrated experience leading or managing ICT operations, network, infrastructure or secure service capabilities within a large and complex environment.
• Strong operational leadership and service management experience.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, including experience working with senior executives and technical teams.
• Strong problem-solving and issue-resolution capabilities.
• Experience navigating complex technical and operational environments to develop and maintain effective solutions.
• Experience managing service levels, operational performance and continuous improvement activities.
• Strong understanding of ICT operations, service availability and incident management.
• Knowledge of Australian Government information security policies, the Information Security Manual (ISM) and Essential Eight would be highly regarded.
• Familiarity with technologies such as firewalls, DNS security, CASB, DLP and SIEM/SOAR would be advantageous.
• Understanding of enterprise identity and authentication concepts, including SAML, LDAP/AD and Kerberos, would be beneficial.
• Relevant industry certifications such as PCNSE, CCNP Security, Broadcom/Symantec SWG or CompTIA Security+ would be highly regarded.
