Job summary

Energy Australia is seeking a Compliance Initiatives Lead based in Melbourne's Docklands with a hybrid 2-3 days in the office. This permanent, individual contributor role sits within the Governance, Reporting and Regulatory Change Team and acts as a flexible senior resource for cross-functional, time-critical work.

You will independently lead strategic initiatives and governance uplift programs, providing surge capacity for emerging regulatory priorities and complex issues across Customer.

Qualifications

• Experience leading strategic initiatives in regulated environments.
• Strong governance, risk and compliance knowledge.
• Ability to lead outcomes in ambiguous environments.
• Exceptional stakeholder engagement and influencing skills.
• Experience managing complex initiatives with multiple stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and communication skills for executive briefings.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic initiatives from concept to realization and benefit delivery.
• Identify and resolve governance and regulatory challenges.
• Support design of governance frameworks and operating models.
• Mobilise cross-functional initiatives when ownership is unclear.
• Drive stakeholder alignment across business, compliance, legal and exec teams.
• Provide surge capacity for regulatory obligations and risk reviews.
• Facilitate workshops and decision forums to drive actions.
• Develop executive reporting and briefing materials for leadership.
• Identify opportunities to improve governance and delivery practices.
