Job summary

EnergyAustralia is seeking a Customer Regulatory Response and Alignment Lead in Victoria to manage regulatory engagements, lead submissions and coordinate responses across regulatory matters. The role is a permanent position with a hybrid work arrangement (2–3 days in office per week).

This individual contributor role requires deep regulatory knowledge, stakeholder management skills and the ability to translate complex policy issues into actionable guidance to senior leaders within the Customer

Qualifications

• Significant experience in legal, compliance or regulatory roles with understanding of Australian energy regulatory framework.
• Strong ability to manage stakeholders and influence across audiences.
• Excellent written, communication and influencing skills; translate complex matters into submissions.
• Proven ability to navigate regulatory policy issues and provide actionable guidance.
• Customer-focused, collaborative, outcome-driven with high-quality delivery.

Responsibilities

• Act as the key contact for Customer regulatory response activities with regulators and external stakeholders.
• Lead and coordinate responses to regulatory consultations, requests, investigations, ombudsman and legal matters.
• Partner with subject matter experts to develop high-quality, evidence-based submissions.
• Identify, assess and elevate regulatory risks and inconsistencies across the Customer business.
• Coordinate and prioritise regulatory response activities in line with business planning.
• Provide reporting, insights and capability uplift to strengthen regulatory engagement practices.
