Job summary

EnergyAustralia is seeking a Compliance Initiatives Lead based in Melbourne with a hybrid pattern of 2–3 days in the office per week. The role sits in the Governance, Reporting and Regulatory Change Team as an individual contributor, leading strategic initiatives, projects and improvement activities across Customer.

You will identify regulatory risks, design governance frameworks, mobilise cross‑functional teams, and deliver executive reporting to support leadership decisions.

Qualifications

• Significant experience leading strategic initiatives and governance projects.
• Strong understanding of governance, risk, compliance and operational effectiveness.
• Exceptional stakeholder engagement, facilitation and influencing skills.
• Ability to lead outcomes in ambiguous environments and drive momentum.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic initiatives, regulatory uplift activities and complex programmes end-to-end.
• Identify and resolve governance and regulatory challenges with practical solutions.
• Support governance frameworks, operating models, controls and processes.
• Mobilise cross-functional initiatives when priorities are unclear.
• Drive stakeholder alignment across business, compliance, legal, and senior teams.
• Provide surge capacity for regulatory obligations, risks, audits and change activities.
• Facilitate workshops and decision forums; ensure actions are delivered.
• Develop executive reporting, recommendations and briefing materials for leadership.
