Job summary

Western Sydney University is seeking a capable HR Operations professional to deliver responsive operational HR support across the employee lifecycle. You will be a first point of contact for staff enquiries, ensuring accurate information and navigation of HR services at Hawkesbury campus.

You will process Tier 1 HR transactions including onboarding, pay entitlements, leave, safety, visa enquiries and payroll preparation.

Qualifications

• Certificate IV or Diploma in Human Resources, Business or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Demonstrated experience in HR administration or operational support.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accurate employee data.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-focused approach.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in a high-volume environment, supported by proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS platforms.

Responsibilities

• Deliver accurate and timely HR transactions across key employee lifecycle processes.
• Provide consistent, professional frontline support across all service channels.
• Maintain accurate employee records and documentation in line with University requirements.
• Resolve enquiries collaboratively and elevate complex or non-standard matters appropriately.
• Identify opportunities to improve HR processes, knowledge and service delivery.
