Job summary

Western Sydney University is seeking an HR Operations professional to deliver high-quality HR transactions and frontline support at the Hawkesbury campus. The role focuses on onboarding, pay and entitlements, leave management and payroll preparation across the employee lifecycle.

You will act as a first point of contact for staff inquiries, ensuring timely and accurate information and guidance through multiple channels.

Qualifications

• Certificate IV or Diploma in HR, Business or related field (or equivalent).
• Demonstrated experience in HR administration or operational support.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in employee data.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-focused approach.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in a high-volume environment with proficiency in MS Office and HRIS.

Responsibilities

• Process HR transactions across the employee lifecycle and onboarding.
• Handle pay/entitlements, leave management, safety and payroll preparation tasks.
• Respond to staff enquiries via phone, ServiceNow, Teams and email; refer to self-service where possible.
• Maintain accurate employee records and employment documentation; apply policies and instruments.
• Collaborate with People Operations, Payroll and HR Systems teams to resolve routine matters and improve processes.
