Job summary

Monash City Council in Victoria is seeking an experienced HR Business Partner to partner with leaders, translate business priorities into people strategies and support a Workday rollout. You will mentor Talent Officers, influence senior stakeholders and drive talent, workforce and organisational design initiatives across the council.

Qualifications

• A tertiary qualification in Human Resources or a similar discipline.
• Demonstrated HR business partnering experience.
• Confident with HCM/HRIS, ideally Workday.
• Ability to manage competing priorities whilst upholding amazing customer service.
• Strong relationship-building, communication and coaching skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
• Sound HR knowledge, including talent attraction, relevant employment legislation, agreements and policy interpretation.
• Experience translating organisational strategy into workforce planning, organisational design and practical people initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Partner with leaders to understand business priorities and develop people strategies.
• Provide advice and guidance based on HR policies such as the Enterprise Agreement.
• Collaborating on the rollout of Workday (in progress).
• Mentor Talent Officers and step in as Talent Lead during leave periods.
• Coach leaders to build people leadership capability.
• Provide practical advice on talent attraction, workforce and succession planning, and organisational design.
