Job summary

The Salvation Army in Geelong, VIC is seeking a Housing Support Worker to provide case management for people experiencing homelessness or at risk. This fixed-term full-time role is based on-site in Geelong and reports to the Team Leader.

Compensation follows the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Award Level 5. Salary ranges from $53.43 to $55.85 per hour, plus superannuation, based on experience.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Social Work or related field.
• Experience working with vulnerable people.
• Ability to engage and collaborate with diverse communities.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough client assessments and develop holistic case and housing plans.
• Provide client-focused case management through advocacy, outreach and delivery of services.
• Manage client intake, orientation, induction and exit planning.
• Complete administrative tasks including case notes, data entry, and reporting.
• Support a positive, safe team environment by following OHS standards.
