Job summary

Churches of Christ in Queensland - Bribie Island QLD is seeking a compassionate and organised Assistant Housing Officer to join our Housing Programs team and help deliver quality housing services to tenants across the community.

You will provide administrative and frontline support across tenancy and property management services. You'll be the first point of contact for many clients, helping them navigate housing options while supporting positive tenancy outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience in housing, community services or similar sector.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Excellent organisational and administrative abilities.
• Commitment to supporting vulnerable people and communities.

Responsibilities

• Responding to tenant, property and housing enquiries.
• Conducting client interviews and eligibility assessments.
• Assisting with property inspections and condition reports.
• Coordinating maintenance requests and tenancy matters.
• Maintaining accurate tenant and property records.
• Supporting community engagement initiatives and tenant events.
• Providing administrative support to Housing Officers.
