Job summary

Lutheran Services in Brisbane is seeking a compassionate Housing Officer to support women to access safe, stable and affordable housing within our domestic and family violence program. You’ll provide information, advocacy and practical housing assistance while coordinating tenancy administration.

This full-time max-term role runs Mon-Fri 9am-5pm, with salary packaging, employee discounts and benefits. You will work with housing providers, real estate agents and community networks to achieve

Qualifications

• Experience in housing, homelessness, community services or a similar role.
• Knowledge of housing and homelessness sector and relevant legislation.
• Understanding of barriers faced by women experiencing domestic and family violence.
• Strong communication, relationship-building and advocacy skills.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a team.
• High levels of integrity, professionalism and confidentiality.
• Current Queensland Driver's Licence.
• Current Blue Card and NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (or ability to obtain).

We're looking for compassionateHousing Officers to join our Community Services team in Brisbane. Working within our domestic and family violence program, you'll support women to secure safe, stable and affordable housing while helping them build confidence to maintain long-term tenancies.
Location: Brisbane, QLDRole Type: Full Time, Max Term Contract Until 29 September 2027 | Mon to Fri | 9am - 5pm
Remuneration:$47.63 - $51.25 ph + Super + Salary Packaging + Employee Discounts & Benefits
What You'll Be Doing:This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference by combining housing support, tenancy coordination and stakeholder engagement to improve outcomes for women who have experienced domestic and family violence.

What You'll Bring:
We're looking for someone who is organised, empathetic and passionate about supporting vulnerable members of the community.

• Experience in housing, homelessness, community services or a similar role
• A tertiary qualification in Human Services or a related discipline
• Knowledge of the housing and homelessness sector, including relevant legislation
• An understanding of the barriers faced by women experiencing domestic and family violence
• Strong communication, relationship-building and advocacy skills
• The ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team
