The Reef Hotel Casino Cairns is seeking a friendly Receptionist to join our Front Office team in Cairns. You will welcome guests, manage check-ins and check-outs, handle reservations, and provide accurate information with a courteous demeanour.

The role requires recent front desk experience in a 4–5 star hotel, strong organisation, and the ability to work varying shifts. We offer a competitive salary and staff benefits including training and accommodation discounts.

Qualifications

Recent experience in a front office receptionist role in a 4-5 star hotel.
Working knowledge of hotel front office procedures and policies concerning reservations, room assignments, restaurant, and room charges.
Enthusiastic, friendly with a team player attitude.
A cheerful and welcoming customer service style.
Excellent organisation and time management skills with attention to detail.
Ability to provide information on the hotel and local places of interest.
Computer-literate and competent with office equipment including PABX and Opera.

Responsibilities

Responsible for guest registration and departure, maintaining accurate guest accounts and providing helpful information.
Inform management of occupancy and maximise occupancy results.
Accept group bookings and ensure accurate rooming lists and costs.
