Job summary

Colonial Group is seeking a Hotel All Rounder to fluidly shift between Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, and Front Office, delivering exceptional service and a warm, guest‑focused experience across Cairns regional properties.

In this role you will clean rooms, assist guests with personalised dining suggestions, share local insights, and help the team maintain a safe, efficient operation through flexible rotating shifts, RSA compliance, and a positive, can-do attitude.

Qualifications

• Experience in a customer-facing hospitality role is a plus.
• Possession of a valid RSA or equivalent qualification.
• Genuine passion for guest care and teamwork.
• Willing to work a flexible rotating schedule, including nights and weekends.
• Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
• Problem-solving skills to turn challenges into opportunities.

Your role encompasses several key areas, working within a diverse team to ensure an exceptional guest experience:

• Cleaning guest rooms and public spaces all of which are crucial to creating an outstanding first impression
• Use cleaning materials and chemicals with care, adhering to safety protocols to maintain a secure environment
• Offer personalised food and beverage suggestions, whether in our outlets or during events leaving a lasting impression on our guests
• Proactively source information to expand your product knowledge
• Be the go-to source for information on neighbourhood hotspots and must-visit gems
• From check-in to check-out, you will be at the forefront of delivering exceptional hospitality, ensuring that our guests have a memorable stay
• Confidently communicate with both guests and colleagues enabling seamless teamwork

Skills & Experience

• Previous experience in a customer facing hospitality role is a plus
• Possession of a valid RSA or an equivalent qualification for the specific Country / State / Territory
• Genuine passion for guest care, engaging with patrons and collaborating within a team of diverse professionals
• Capable of embracing a flexible rotating schedule, including nights, overnights, weekends, and public holidays
• Strong work ethic, reliable and a commitment to excellence
