Job summary

Hyatt House South Melbourne is seeking a Host - Rooms to drive a seamless Front Office operation. You will handle check-ins/outs, manage reservations via PMS, process payments, and support guest needs with a friendly, proactive attitude.

The role covers F&B basics and upselling opportunities, while maintaining spotless public and back-of-house areas. Flexibility for weekends and public holidays is required; RSA certification is essential.

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities with guests.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced hotel environment.
• RSA certificate required for service of alcohol.

Responsibilities

• Manage check-in and check-out at the Front Office on a day-to-day basis.
• Prepare reservations in the hotel PMS and handle guest requests.
• Process payments, invoices and loyalty status checks at departure.
• Upsell hotel services and coordinate restaurant bookings and transport.
• Assist in emergencies and maintain high standards of cleanliness and presentation.
