Job summary

Langlands at Hyatt Melbourne is seeking a warm, confident Host to welcome guests, manage reservations and guide them through the dining experience. You'll set the tone from arrival to departure in a premium hotel setting, delivering courteous, attentive service.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years as a Section Waiter in a premium restaurant or hotel, holds a current Victorian RSA, and is comfortable with POS or reservation systems (Infrasys preferred).

Qualifications

• Premium restaurant or hotel experience.
• At least 2 years as a Section Waiter.
• Victorian RSA certificate.
• Experience with POS or reservation systems (Infrasys preferred).

Responsibilities

• Welcome, seat and farewell guests with warmth.
• Manage reservations, waitlists, and table allocations.
• Coordinate dining room with Venue Manager and FOH team.
• Build rapport and share Langlands dining experience with guests.
• Maintain booking systems and guest communications.
• Open/close the venue and reconcile POS.
• Support private dining and events.
• Maintain high presentation standards and safety compliance.
