Job summary

Majestic Hotels & Apartments in Adelaide is seeking a practical, hands-on HR Business Partner to provide expert guidance to operational leaders across six properties. You will report to the General Manager and help shape practical, compliant people practices across the business.

This senior HR role emphasizes employee relations, performance management, award interpretation, and coaching of managers. A support team includes a People & Culture Coordinator handling onboarding, records and WHS

Qualifications

• Generalist HR foundation with employee relations experience.
• Ability to interpret the Hospitality Industry (General) Award and Fair Work legislation.
• Experience in fast-paced or hospitality environments is valued.
• Ability to coach managers and guide through performance and disciplinary matters.

Responsibilities

• Provide practical advice and support to managers on employee relations and workplace matters.
• Coach leaders through performance management, difficult conversations and disciplinary processes.
• Provide accurate guidance on the Hospitality Industry (General) Award and employment obligations.
• Manage employee relations matters with escalation for complex or high-risk issues.
• Support probationary reviews, development and performance improvement.
• Collaborate with Payroll and operational managers on Award compliance and conditions.
• Provide leadership to the People & Culture Coordinator.
• Support recruitment, engagement, L&D, and other generalist HR activities.
• Improve HR processes and ensure consistent people practices across the business.
