Job summary

Sunshine Beach SLSC in Queensland seeks a Full-Time Duty Manager to lead daily operations of the club’s bar, dining, gaming and events. You will manage staff, drive service standards and ensure compliance with licensing and safety requirements.

This role rewards leadership, performance and guest experience, with a competitive salary of 75k–85k plus super, a bonus opportunity, and a supportive management team at a venue overlooking Sunshine Beach.

Qualifications

• Previous leadership experience in hospitality, preferably within a licensed club or busy venue.
• Strong people management, communication and problem-solving skills.
• A proactive, positive attitude with a willingness to lead by example.
• Good understanding of wage management, sales performance and operational efficiency.
• Current RSA and RSG certificates.
• RMLV qualification or willingness to obtain.
• Diploma of Hospitality Management desirable.
• Availability to work a rotating roster including nights, weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily Club operations across bar, gaming, reception, restaurant and functions.
• Lead, motivate and develop staff to deliver outstanding customer service.
• Manage shifts efficiently, including staffing levels, labour costs and operational performance.
• Drive sales, productivity and continuous improvement.
• Ensure compliance with liquor licensing, gaming, WHS and Club policies.
• Manage customer enquiries, complaints and operational challenges professionally.
• Oversee opening and closing procedures, cash handling and security.
• Support functions, entertainment and special events.
• Maintain high standards of venue presentation and cleanliness.
• Work collaboratively with the management team to achieve Club goals and KPIs.
