Job summary

St Sergius Aged Care seeks an experienced Home Services Manager for a six-month, full-time, on-site contract in South Western Sydney to lead Support at Home and CHSP services.

Reporting to the CEO, you will oversee day-to-day operations for about 120 clients, drive quality care and regulatory compliance, manage budgets, and mentor a newly appointed Home Services Lead through a structured training program.

Qualifications

• Significant management experience in Australian home care services
• Strong knowledge of aged care legislation, regulatory requirements, quality standards and clinical governance
• Demonstrated experience managing multidisciplinary teams, operational performance and service budgets
• Sound understanding of home care funding, participant budgets, care management and service delivery systems
• Proven ability to coach, mentor and develop emerging managers
• Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, problem-solving and reporting skills
• Relevant tertiary qualifications in nursing, health, community services, business or management
• Desirable: Experience working with culturally and linguistically diverse communities

• Deliver a structured competency-based training and mentoring program for the newly appointed Home Services Lead, including practical activities, competency assessments and regular progress reporting to the CEO
• Support the progressive transfer of management responsibilities to the incumbent as competence is demonstrated

Home Services Manager, Contract Role, Sydney

Six month contract, full time, on site, South Western Sydney. An established aged care provider is seeking an experienced Home Care Manager or Senior Aged Care Consultant for a six-month contract to lead its Support at Home and Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP) services.

Reporting directly to the CEO, the successful candidate will oversee the day-to-day management of a culturally diverse home care service supporting approximately 120 clients, with a strong focus on quality care, regulatory compliance, operational performance and financial sustainability.

A key component of this appointment is to mentor, train and progressively develop a newly appointed Home Services Lead, an experienced Registered Nurse transitioning into home care management.

Remuneration: Negotiable, commensurate with experience.

About the role

This is a hands-on interim management and mentoring appointment suited to an experienced home care leader or consultant who can maintain effective service operations while building the capability of an incoming manager. You will provide operational leadership and management across Support at Home and CHSP services, reporting to the Chief Executive Officer.
