Job summary

Talent Quarter is seeking a Community Home Care Manager to lead the establishment, development and growth of community-based aged care services in the Canberra region. You will blend strategic leadership, business development and operational management to ensure services support older people to live independently and maintain quality of life.

Community Home Care Manager – Canberra, ACT

Are you an experienced aged care or community services leader ready to take the next step in your career? We are seeking a commercially minded and strategic Community Home Care Manager based across the Canberra, ACT region to lead the establishment, development and growth of community-based aged care services. This is an exciting opportunity to combine strategic leadership, business development and operational management to build sustainable services that support older people to live independently and maintain their quality of life.

About the Role

Reporting to the General Manager, you will lead service development, operational readiness, regulatory compliance and business growth, ensuring services are safe, high-quality and financially sustainable.

Key responsibilities include:

• Lead the establishment and implementation of Support at Home and community services.
• Develop business plans, budgets, financial forecasts and growth strategies.
• Establish governance, quality assurance and regulatory compliance frameworks.
• Oversee workforce planning, recruitment, systems and operational readiness.
• Build relationships with referral partners and community stakeholders.

About You

You will bring:

• Senior leadership experience in aged care, health, community services or a regulated industry.
• Experience establishing, developing or transforming services.
• Strong commercial, financial and strategic planning skills.
• Knowledge of governance, risk management and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• A relevant tertiary qualification in Business, Health, Aged Care, Finance, Management or a related discipline.

Experience with Support at Home, home care, aged care registration or government-funded community services will be highly regarded.
